HERO® 2020 PavaBalls Burst into Cloud

PavaBall projectiles, fired by HERO® 2020, are shells designed to shatter on impact. They are filled with over 3 grams of OC/PAVA powders which release on impact to to create an airborne cloud. This PavaCloud is approximately 4-6 feet in size depending on environmental factors. Anyone caught in the cloud will experience intense burning sensations on the skin, eyes, nose, and mouth, as well as difficulty breathing.

The active airborne compound within PavaBall is key to the success of our devices. We test the efficacy of HERO® products and ammunition at our lab to ensure the highest quality for our customers. We use specialized equipment to test the formation and effectiveness of the PavaCloud on various surfaces, distribution of contents on impact, lasting effects of particles on hair, skin, clothing, flooring, and other environmental considerations.
