Hello HERO® Family,

My Name is Dan. And I am one of the founders of HERO Defense Systems.

It is an honor to take a few minutes and speak with you about the events of the past few weeks. It seems like every day, the news is filled with reports of bigger than life incidents of people like you and me being attacked by someone who clearly does not respect the sanctity of life and property.

We all remember the unbelievable stabbing of Iryna Zarutska while innocently traveling on a North Carolina commuter train. And now, we are all engaged in the horrific assassination of Charlie Kirk this last week. We hear every day of attacks and crimes committed by individuals with “mental illness”, “illegal status”, “released from jail” and a host of other descriptives. Drugs are everywhere on our streets. And human trafficking seems to be commonplace.

Well, like many of you, I have had enough, and I need to speak out. The time for quiet tolerance is past. We need to call evil out and be ready to defend ourselves and our families. There is no question that this evil is almost always rooted in the extremist ideologies of the day. Governor Cox of Utah was correct when he broadcast to the world that the murder of Charlie Kirk was a political assassination brought on by ideology. 

From a moral standpoint, we cannot provoke violence. It is what evil wants. However, we need to fight back with Truth, Liberty and Justice. We need to “Speak Out”, but we don’t need to “Act Out”.

The reason HERO® was started in the first place was because of personal experiences with this type of evil. We want each and every one of our followers and their family members to be protected. We hope you will choose HERO® to help with that responsibility. But if you choose another company and another brand to help you, we congratulate you on taking this issue seriously. We are glad you are striving to be prepared. We encourage you to view our training videos and podcasts, as well as those of others. They will help you and your families feel safer.
